Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has approved the appointment of Pramod Agrawal as Chairman and Chief Public Interest Officer of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the bourse said in a filing. ‘exchange. BSE said in an exchange filing: “We hereby inform that the tenure of Shri SS Mundra, Chairman and Public Interest Director shall end on January 16, 2024, in this regard, the Board of Directors at its meeting held on December 13, 2023, considered and approved the appointment of Shri Pramod Agrawal, Public Interest Director as Chairman of the Board, subject to the approval of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (“SEBI”) ).
Further, he informed about the approval from SEBI through the exchange filing and said, “SEBI vide letter No. SEBI/HO/MRD/RAC2/P/OW/2023/51098/1 dated 19th December, 2023 (received today, December 20). 2023) has given approval for the appointment of Shri Pramod Agrawal as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from January 17, 2024.”
Agrawal will take over from SS Mundra on January 17, 2024.
