As fog and cold weather swept across large areas of northern India on Sunday, January 14, Spicejet and airline Akasa issued fresh announcements regarding the cancellation, delay and its effect on flight operations.

Akasa Airlines further mentioned: “We understand that this may impact your travel plans and regret the inconvenience caused. You can request a full refund of your existing booking or rebook another available flight at no extra cost by calling our Akasa Care Center at +91 9606112131.”
Spicejet flight canceled, delay due to fog
Spicejet also issued a statement saying that due to expected poor visibility at Delhi, Amritsar, Jammu, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Patna, Bagdogra, Darbhanga, Guwahati, Tezpur airports, all departures/arrivals and their consecutive flights may be affected.
The airline said: “#WeatherUpdate (January 15, 2024): Due to forecasted poor visibility at Delhi (DEL), Amritsar(ATQ), Jammu(IXJ), Varanasi(VNS), Gorakhpur(GOP), Patna( PAT), Bagdogra (IXB), Darbhanga (DBR), Guwahati (GAU) and Tezpur (TEZ), all departures/arrivals and their consecutive flights may be affected.”

Check the refund status online for the flight booking you canceled on Akasa Air, you can do so by following these steps:
1. Click on Reservation Refund present in the “Manage” section.
2. Fill in your details such as booking reference number/PNR, email and name.
3. Click the visible button to check the refund status.
4. View/manage refund/payment status.
