BPSC announces new dates for teacher recruitment exam which was canceled due to paper leak
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Friday announced that the Teachers’ Recruitment Examination (TRE-3), which was cancelled due to leaked question paper, will be held from July 19 to 22. 15, was cancelled after it was discovered that the question paper had been leaked.
According to a new notification issued by the BPSC, the TRE-3 exams will be held from July 19 to 22. While from July 19 to 21, the exams will be conducted in one shift, on July 22, they will be conducted in two shifts.
The BPSC conducted TRE-3 exams on March 15 at 415 exam centers in two shifts, with around 3.75 lakh aspirants participating, officials said.
The decision to cancel the exam was taken after analyzing the report submitted by the Economic Offenses Unit (EOU) of the Bihar Police, which investigated the question paper leak allegations, they said .
In its report, the EoU noted that the exam papers had reached a gang before the exams. It registered an FIR on March 16 under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and formed a special team that arrested 266 people.
Investigations by the EOU in the TRE-3, Bihar Constable Recruitment Exam and NEET-UG exam question leak cases have revealed that members of the infamous Sanjeev Mukhiya gang were connected , said an official.
« It has been found that the Sanjeev Mukhiya gang is spread across Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan. The gang was also behind paper leaks in Haryana Veterinary Doctor Recruitment Examination, Haryana English Teacher Recruitment Examination and some recruitment exams conducted in UP, » he said.
Mukhiya, identified as the mastermind of the NEET-UG paper leak case, was posted as a technical assistant in a government college in Bihar’s Nalanda district. The CBI, which has taken over the probe into the NEET-UG case, is looking for him, officials said.
Mukhiya’s name was mentioned by all those arrested in the paper leak case, they said.
The Mukhiya gang and another similar gang led by Ravi Atri, who was arrested earlier following leaks of documents of some previous recruitment exams, are believed to be linked, they added.
