The Coal Ministry on Thursday issued allotment orders for three coal mines, one fully explored and two partially explored, according to an official statement. The three mines are: Machhakata, Kudanali Lubri and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi.
While the order for Machhakata mine was issued to NLC India Ltd, the orders for Kudanali Lubri and Sakhigopal-B Kakurhi mines were issued to Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd and TANGEDCO respectively.
The ministry said the cumulative peak design capacity (PRC) of the three coal mines, for which the award orders have been issued, stands at 30.00 MTPA.
The geological reserves of the mines amount to approximately 2,194.10 MT, he said.
The ministry also said the three mines are expected to generate annual revenue of around Rs 2,991.2 crore calculated on the basis of PRC.
The mines will attract capital investment of Rs 4,500 crore and provide direct and indirect employment to around 40,560 people.
