Ben Gurion Airport operated as usual today, with 60,900 passengers expected on 353 international flights arriving and departing. More than 50,000 passengers passed through yesterday, even though Israeli airspace was closed for several hours in the morning due to a preemptive strike by the Israeli military against Hezbollah rocket launchers in Lebanon. Tens of thousands of passengers were forced to wait at the airport for many hours, one of the busiest days of the year.
