In a bid to support soybean farmers during the Kharif season 2024-25, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare has announced relaxation in moisture content permitted for procurement of soybean under the Price Support Program (PSS).
The threshold was raised from the standard limit of 12 percent for acceptable average quality (FAQ) to 15 percent, addressing farmers’ concerns over crop quality due to unfavorable weather conditions.
