In a humorous twist this wedding season, Shaadi.com and Zepto teamed up for a viral ad campaign that prompted other brands to join in on the playful banter. The collaboration began with a striking display of advertisements from both companies, sparking conversations on social media.
The Zepto ad, which also featured wedding wear brand Manyavar, asked the question “Manyavar chahiye?” (Want Manyavar?),” highlighting the fast commerce platform’s promise to deliver ethnic wear in just 10 minutes.
Beside this, the Shaadi.com creative playfully replied, “Var chahiye (do you want a groom)? It will take more than 10 minutes,” cleverly mocking the fast delivery service.
Shaadi.com CEO Anupam Mittal shared the collaboration on LinkedIn. In one post, he wrote: “Who would have expected a crossover between love and 10-minute delivery? For decades, brands operated in isolation, fiercely protective of their ways and any collaboration meant approaching the partnership with suspicion, a win-lose approach. and months of planning.
The light-hearted exchange caught the attention of LinkedIn users, where Shaadi.com’s Anupam Mittal engaged in light-hearted banter with Zepto CEO Aadit Palicha. Mittal humorously tagged Palicha and asked her, “Vadhu chahiye (Do you want a wife)? to which the 22-year-old entrepreneur replied that he was already “married to his business”.
Mittal joked that Palicha was causing trouble, to which Palicha suggested taking the conversation offline, noting that his mother was also on LinkedIn.
As the fun exchanges continued, other brands, including Faasos and CashKaro, joined the party, further amplifying the campaign’s reach.
