Stock Market News for August 30:Domestic stock indices hit all-time highs on Thursday, led by energy and FMCG stocks, though losses in metal stocks limited the upside. Both major indices gained 0.4 per cent, with the Sensex gaining 349.1 points to end at 82,134.6 and the Nifty50 gaining 99.6 points to close at 25,152. During the session, the Sensex and the Nifty50 hit all-time highs of 82,285.8 and 25,192.9 respectively.
Investors are awaiting the release of official data on the country’s GDP for the June quarter, due after markets close on Friday.

Vodafone Idea featured
The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear on Friday the petition filed by telecom companies, including Vodafone Idea, in the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) case.
Board of Directors Meetings
The boards of Insecticides India and Fortis Healthcare are scheduled to meet on Friday to consider a share buyback through a competitive bidding process and a fundraising proposal, respectively.
Dividend stocks
PFC shares are expected to trade ex-dividend.
Index overhaul takes effect
A recent shakeup of the MSCI index is expected to take effect at the close of trading on Friday.
